Artist's Comments

Since I havn't posted/updated anything in a while, I figured I'd post this quick sketch of my two rats. :) I lub' them so. They are so friendly and love people, but Nova(left) can be kind of shy sometimes. Oh boy though, do they ever get into trouble. ;) ~Mischievious little buggers....

Haha, rats, they are very unique, mostly in their unexpected variety and how they are viewed. Some consider them beastly alley creatures, and then on the other side of the spectrum they are seen as cute and adorable pets: and clearly we see where you stand on it. They indeed can be cute, from what I can figure it mostly boils down to how all living fellows can be perceived by: their means of upbringing. And so far judging from the drawing, I'd say they're living quite happily!

Anyway, about the work itself, they look happy enough. I like the little wink that dark fellow has, while the lighter one has a shy expression, which in itself provides some really nice contrast. In fact these two look quite different, and yet they seem to be friends, perhaps there's a bit of symbolism here? Or am I reading too deep into this? :XD:

Yes, quite nicely done alright!

Actually, the pet store employee said they were both sisters when I went and purchased them. It's funny how drastically different they both look while still being siblings. As for their personalities, the albino(Snowflake) is extremely sweet and playful, and Nova(left) is very curious but shy sometimes. I drew her like this in this sketch because she was rather "frisky" at the time. ;]

Anyway, thanks again for the comment! :)

It looks like they have the same colouring as a sibling set that I had, (sadly I only have the black hooded, and now a baby cousin of his)

I don't think I could ever settle down though, there are so many cultures that I love; I would be half in and half out of any world I tried to live in.
